Originally released in 1997. Ween are a silly band. Though that’s also what makes them so damn fun. Picture two long time stoner friends, locked in a studio with every possible instrument imaginable for a few weeks, attempting to cover every possible rock genre out there, and that’s what you get with Ween’s sixth album, The Mollusk. Influenced by sea shanties, this album ended up being a direct influence to SpongeBob SquarePants. Seriously. Probably their most accessible and well received album in their discography, this marks Ween at their peak and most confident. Making a couple of year end lists in 1997, most would say it may be their best album. This 180 gram black repress was released in 2009.
